Neurophysiotherapy

Sue Armstrong has 30 years experience in NHS, private practice and post graduate teaching experience. She is one of only 5 Advanced Bobath Tutors in the UK and teaches clinical neurorehabilitation courses throughout the UK and internationally

Treatment is based on the Bobath Concept, with it's focus  on individualised treatment, hands-on, and movement based therapy to improve movement control, sensory information, functional activity and independence, according to your goals and priorities

The Bobath Concept considers the 'whole' person in movement analysis and treatment, including working on:
  • Postural alignment and balance
  • Rehabilitation of walking
  • Rehabilitation of arm and hand function
  • Sensory retraining
  • Improving flexibility,  mobility, ease of movement
  • Advice on exercise, self-management and getting back to activities which you enjoy!
Some clients have treatment regularly, some occasionally, e.g. for an 'MOT', some attend as necessary with their local therapist for consultation and advice, we are happy to be as flexible as we can be depending on individual needs

We also offer specific interventions such as functional electrical stimulation (registered Odstock FES providers) sensory retraining, Constraint Induced Movement Therapy, specific exercise or fitness activities
